In the first 10 months, the combined import and export scale of the three northeastern provinces exceeded 1 trillion yuan for the first time in the same period in history, with a growth rate higher than that of the country as a whole, among which, the proportion of private enterprises import and export in the region as a whole increased by 1.4 percentage points, and the vitality of the development was further strengthened, indicating that the promotion of the comprehensive revitalization of the Northeast has achieved new results.
Again, in terms of market potential, China has continued to expand the scale of trade with emerging markets, and the international market layout of close regional cooperation and diversified trade continues to be optimized. In the first 10 months, China's import and export to and from countries on the "Belt and Road" totaled 15.96 trillion yuan, up 3.2% year-on-year, accounting for 46.5% of China's foreign trade. Among them, the import and export to ASEAN, Central and Eastern European countries and the five Central Asian countries increased by 0.9%, 2.7% and 34.8% respectively, which effectively compensated for the impact of the lack of traditional market demand.
Yang Guangpu, director of the Research Office of the Macroeconomic Research Department of the Development Research Center of the State Council, believes that these positive changes in the field of foreign trade cannot be separated from the perseverance and innovation of the majority of foreign trade subjects, and cannot be separated from the implementation of the policy of stabilizing foreign trade to show the effect, and it also shows the resilience and vitality of China's foreign trade.

Currently, global trade continues to be in a weak situation, based on concerns about growth difficulties and challenges, the WTO recently cut the growth rate of global merchandise trade volume in 2023 from the previous forecast of 1.7% to 0.8%. Against this background, looking ahead to China's foreign trade trend, Lv Daliang said that as China's economic operation continues to improve, endogenous momentum continues to strengthen, stabilizing foreign trade, the pragmatic initiatives continue to play a role in the import and export operating situation will be more robust, the quality and efficiency will be further improved, and the goal of promoting stability and improving quality will certainly be achieved.
